Y-PEER Afghanistan with the support of UNFPA Afghanistan held a Training of Trainers (ToT) from
10th to 15th Sep 2022 in Kabul Serena Hotel, Kabul, Afghanistan. The objection of the ToT was to
enhance the knowledge of active Afghan youth, who don’t have access to public awareness, raising
campaign opportunities to strengthen and spread high-quality peer-to-peer education in the field of
adolescent and youth health and wellbeing, including HIV prevention, drugs prevention, early
marriages, communication skills, and trainers skills. These issues have been covered during the 6 days
of training among 28 female youth. This ToT was conducted by an International Master Trainer from
Y-PEER Tajikistan and three National Trainers of Y-PEER Afghanistan using peer education
methodology for master trainers and Y-PEER Humanitarian Manual. Interactive techniques were
maintained throughout the training such as brainstorming, group work, role-play games,
presentations, energizers, icebreakers, etc.
